Ah, memories of Joburg! I used to squawk back at them until my neighbour yelled at me to shaddup… The Aussie version, also an Ibis, is colloquially known as a bin chook (bin chicken) as they eat from the rubbish bins! They are everywhere in Sydney.

Now that’s a sound that brought back memories. They were all around the resort I stayed at in South Africa 2009 (at least, I think it was 2009)
