I was amazed at how close these birds allowed us to get to them – they took no notice of us whatsoever.

I’d stopped taking my camera along everywhere with me for a while. Yesterday I started again – I’m so glad I did 🙂

This is such a funny photo. We have these type of sprinklers throughout the midwest but I have never seen one lined with large birds. Very interesting.

Thank you for your comment 🙂 Funnily enough that centre pivot (sprinkler system) was made by a company in the midwest and shipped to us out here in Africa!

birds will rest anywhere – wonder what happens when the water is flowing?

We do occasionally see birds sitting on the pivots while they are moving (and watering) but they mostly prefer it if their perch is stationary 🙂
